John Dougherty visits LAUDE BSV
Today, the charismatic writer John Dougherty visited Laude BSV to share funny stories, sing songs and sign copies of all his books to all of our Infant and Primary students.
The students from Nursery 2 to Year 6 enjoyed a lively talk in which the author John Dougherty shared funny stories with them, causing them more than a laugh. John is one of the most charismatic authors in the United Kingdom. He has been writing books and poetry for more than a decade and also composes his own songs!
Born in Larne, Northern Ireland, John worked as a children’s primary school teacher for several years before leaving to concentrate on his writing. He has published several books for children and has been shortlisted for a number of prestigious awards. His book, Zeus Sorts It Out, was one of The Times children’s books of the year 2011. John Dougherty is in great demand across the world for his energetic and inspirational talks in schools and libraries.
