BSV staff now re-trained in First Aid and the use of defibrillators

Yesterday, 26th June Laude The British School of Vila-real held a course for staff to train them in the proper use of a defibrillator in case of an emergency.

An expert in the use of defibrillators came to Laude BSV to deliver the day long course, which included theory and hands on use of these devices.

Ten staff members of the school staff learned how to use a semi-automatic external defibrillator (DESA) properly, to restore the heartbeat in patients who are not breathing and have lost consciousness.

In addition, the Defibrillator (DESA) guides the operator in the use of the machine, giving step by step instructions to follow, making the use of the defibrillator as simple as possible.

Finally, today, 27th June, another 25 members of the Laude BSV staff had a general First Aid course, providing them with the basic general skills of first aid necessary to be able to intervene at a basic level when there are emergency situations and first aid is needed urgently.
